At Kamion, we are rethinking the logistics industry through process design, data science, and software. Technology is our biggest competitive advantage, and we’re looking for talented engineers to help us build systems that will provide “hands off the wheel” solutions to both our team and our users.
As a Full Stack Engineer, you will contribute to the difficult but necessary work of building a new infrastructure for a 30 billion-dollar market. We operate in a fast-paced environment that requires us to be resourceful and cautious at the same time. We utilize ethically collected data to implement controls in our shipment processes. We prefer dashboards to phone calls, and app notifications to SMS messages. We enjoy what we do, and we have fun while doing it.
You will:
Build internal technologies that will help reduce Kamion’s operating expenses through saving us time
Build external technologies that will help our carriers and shippers reduce operating expenses through saving them time
Constantly interact with users and team members to understand needs and translate them into software architecture
Design flexible, maintainable code
Operate in a demanding environment with long work hours
Be a part of a tight-knit team of talented engineers, designers and operations associates
You may be a fit for this role if you:
Have at least 2 years of experience building software at a fast-paced environment
Enjoy and have experience designing and building REST API’s with PHP’s Laravel framework
Enjoy and have experience with designing and building front-end systems using ReactJS, HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript
Have some knowledge of CI / CD practices
Have some knowledge of Git or version control systems in general
Prefer working at a startup rather than a well-established company, as this involves being able to tackle multiple problems at once and getting out of your comfort zone
Can easily envision solutions that delegate tasks to software
Can be trusted with complex product initiatives and run them to completion with minimal supervision
