About us:
NuVu is a full-time innovation school for middle and high school students. It is headquartered in Cambridge, MA, USA, but the development team is fully remote, current members residing in Turkey.
About the job:
All day-to-day flow for NuVu schools is currently powered by a custom platform (a content management / school management system) written in Ruby on Rails. We are currently developing the next version and we need help with client side application development as well as turning designs into html/css. You might be working on:
- A custom client-side presentation editor (we basically need powerpoint on the web)
- Chat/video components
- Remote collaboration tools
- Designing UX throughout the site
While we need strong javascript application development, you must also be able to turn designs (handed out by our designer) into code. Bonus points for Ruby on Rails experience.
Proficiency in English is a must.
