We are looking for a Software Architect to make intuitive high-level decisions for software development. Who will see the “big picture” and create architectural approaches for software design and implementation to guide the development team.
Responsibilities
- Develop a long-term roadmap: Lead complex multi-person technical projects from initial design to launch, identifying pitfalls, and mentoring others along the way
- Provide architectural blueprints and technical leadership
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers
- Drive the qualitative aspects of the backend services, like performance, scalability, observability, reliability and security and so on.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional experience, with proven track record of shipping highly scalable and robust large-scale distributed backend systems.
- The ability to handle ambiguity, collaborate well with partner teams and empathize with customers.
- Strong experience in the following technologies PHP, Node.js, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Socket.IO, JavaScript, Vue.js
- Experience in designing and building high performance and highly fault tolerant and secure distributed systems.
- Experience in building and deploying systems on top of AWS, Azure, Google Cloud or Local Cloud Systems.
- Experience in microservices and cloud architecture.
- Experience in designing APIs
- Self-starter, self-driven to produce results and continually improve.
- Able to lead and work with a distributed team.
- BA / MS degree in computer science or a related field.
