Meet Voltran, Spotify for university admission exam preparation.
Voltran is a subscription-based digital platform for high school students in Turkey to help them studying for university admission exams. It brings together online tests, textbooks, and video lectures from famous and different publishers. Voltran also provides in-depth analytics and an artificial intelligence-based recommendation engine that is tailored to each student’s specific needs. Therefore, it is a one-stop shop for every student who wants to be successful in the exams.
We are a small team of 4 people and we believe enabling millions of kids to reach affordable, high-quality education and closing the opportunity gap is one of the highest leverage things that technology can do. We have started with university admission exams, but we will not stop there – we are on a mission to provide a second school to every kid in the world starting from Turkey.
To achieve our ambitious dreams, we are currently expanding our team and looking for a Full Stack Developer. You will be working with a multi-functional agile squad of brilliant people from different countries, enjoy a fast-paced early stage start-up environment, have lots of responsibilities, and create your own playground. Any candidate will go through a “culture-fit” interview first and then this will be followed by a technical interview.

Responsibilities:
- Designing the overall architecture of mobile & applications
- Writing well designed, clean, scalable, testable, and secure code by applying best software development practices both on the server-side and the client-side
- Building, monitoring, and evolving Amazon Web Services infrastructure and other key components of the applications
- Maintaining quality and ensuring the responsiveness of applications
- Creating software and system documentation
- Writing automated and functional tests to ensure the consistent functioning and of key applications and systems
- Brainstorming new ideas and working closely with the team in an agile methodology to launch new features, iterate the product, and reach product-market fit
What we look for – Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 3+ years experience
- Development experience for high traffic & public-facing hybrid mobile applications
- Experience with backend development including REST API and database design, implementation and integration
- Experience with Android and IOS native development (nice to have)
- Good level knowledge of HTML5 + CSS3 + JavaScript
- Highly experienced in javascript frameworks and relevant libraries and frameworks (React Native, Redux, NodeJS)
- Strong experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases – MySQL, MongoDB, Redis
- Experience with AWS technologies like RDS, DynamoDB, Elastic Beanstalk, ECS, SQS, SNS, S3
- Experience of working with UX designers
- Strong knowledge of unit/integration testing, including the art of mocking
- Good command of English – we have business consultants and colleagues from the UK
